This works without client change if it's existing display id, however, you have to restart server and exit game completely to see it show up. The server will log an error of the item not being found in item.dbc but it does not cause the item to not work.

It could be that hand of reckoning is more accurate in AZ vs TC, but i don't personally know. If you really wanted to, you could change the spell to how you like for your server though

I've used an existing display id for new items before and it still shows up as a ? without making client changes unfortunately.

I actually have no idea how it should be blizzlike, all I know is acore's implementation is inconsistent, as is tc's

I wouldn't describe that as inconsistencies necessarily, just differences in conditions. And if AC is more blizzlike then that is just their goal.
