Hello ppl, I would appreciate a big help with explanation.
I did follow excellent guide for clean build of core from https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/installation,
Everything is working as it should even manage to include a few modules.

What is confusing me is how to update if there is a new CORE available or Module.
So, these are my folders AzerothCore-wotlk, Build, Compiled. I understand I can Clone in AzerothCore-wotlk folder with GitHub Desktop, then I can use Cmake to generate core in folder Build, after that I will use AzerothCore.sln from Build folder with Visual Studio to rebuild (not clean build like I did first time), now my question is how can I update my server that is located in folder Compiled with new rebuilt version from Build/Bin folder and not lose all my settings, players and my module settings ???

Thanks in advance for explanation how to do update my server and not lose all I did to tweak it.
Also if I am doing rebuild with update I should leave all software that I am using same version as my main build or I can upgrade them if there is update?

1) to update either the core or a module, you update the repository (pull from remote) and recompile
2) if you update dependencies, you will likely need to recompile your core

If new files are added with the update, then cmake needs to be ran, otherwise it’s not necessary

You won’t lose your settings from recompiling
