Orientation is an angle. If I remember correctly:
0 is north
1/2 π is east
π is south
etc

oh, interesting! do you know if sniffs and AC are using the same values or do they need to be translated? the sniffed angle doesn't look right, worried that i'm missing something

I'm not working with sniffs, i can't tell, sorry.
But my expectation is that were able to use them 1:1.
