Lua is single threaded after all, even in the client, so if you have a loop that executes say 100 update requests, all of those will be sent on the same tick

If a client starts blowing up your queue, you could then discard those packets before processing them and kick the player

It's a simple way to deal with a flood attack before the flooding starts, but it's prone to cause false positives and it's not very flexible
