Sorry I am just dipping my toes into this and trying to workout what does/doesn’t require a recompile. I am assuming that editing the worldserver.conf file wont require a rebuild and just a server reboot is that right?

You can even reload some of them without restarting with the command `.reload config`

I see ModulesLoader in there along with CMakeLists - Why? Both ways of making the module should probably not be used, not to mention CMakeLists is kind of the outdated way of doing it.

Interesting I am using the docker method I am keen to try and get it working in a bsd jail to run on freenas.

Haha yes and I feel like trying to containerise it using bsd jails will be equally special. I have no need to do it other than to play with creating more complex bsd jails. And if I can do that with warcraft I would be happy. Also I am interested in the performance on a raidz2 7200 rpm cmr drives. I know it runs well on my ssd in the docker container.

I recon the drive is pretty much only bothered by the SQL server, unless you have extensive logging.

Sans the build I haven't see much load. My little server only has a few users and we haven't gotten to raids yet - but currently feels like you could run it on pretty sparse computer with an SSD behind it.

You can easily run it on a HDD if it's not a slow one. My 15K HDDs aren't breaking a sweat for any of this nor would a decent 7200RPM one.
