Hey hey, I'm really new to this so I was hoping someone could maybe help me out with this or point me in the right direction:
I'm looking to make an extended stable master, using a gossip menu to allow hunters to access more pet slots. I'm thinking of setting it up so you just pick one of the petslots from the gossipmenu and then it swaps your current pet with the pet in that slot. Preferably also showing the name/level/familytype of that pet in the slot.
I already have a custom creature with a working gossip menu, I'm just stuck on getting a script tied to the gossip option.
Would I need Eluna/LUA to set up a script for a gossip event like that, or is that something I can already create using just barebones AzerothCore build?

Both works.
The core can do everything on its own, either with cpp scripts, or with data read from SQL tables.
Eluna has quite a few functions exposed and is an optional way to script things. If you want to provide a custom UI for the client, without providing a changed client, you're going to need Eluna/AIO or a similar system. That's not necessary for gossips however.
