For me it has better performance but most importantly I see a ton less overhead when running under Linux, meaning you get more out of it, but automation is *for me* the biggest benefit.

just have 16GB of available ram and thats it i dont see how that has anything to do with OS and if windows is consuming more i would consider that issue

it does for me, when i turn those options on in the config it ramps up the ram usage to keep them running 24/7
