For me it has better performance but most importantly I see a ton less overhead when running under Linux, meaning you get more out of it, but automation is *for me* the biggest benefit.

im sure it would take me a bit to learn the automation, how to setup, figure out what i want and all that

the less overhead is what im highly mostly interested in, i want all the ram and resources possible to go to the server

just have 16GB of available ram and thats it i dont see how that has anything to do with OS and if windows is consuming more i would consider that issue

the paths and zones in ram takes about 20-30gb of ram to run on its own

it does for me, when i turn those options on in the config it ramps up the ram usage to keep them running 24/7
