I seem to be able to compile it with the correct version. Here's the error message:

if you'll notice it says "found version 3.1.22, server compiled with 100522"

So somehow between compilation and runtime it decides to use an older version (which I don't even think I have installed, but could be wrong)

I can explain to you how you would encounter this error on Windows with mysql. Maybe it isnt helpful, but at least then I could explain in detail when it errors out

Sure! A computer is a computer, and it's the same software at the end of the day. Maybe you can help me identify where in Azerothcore to look.
