im talking about it mainly to attempt and gather few ppl who would be willing to do it which obviously probably wont happen but why not at least try first right

Just start by porting it to a fork, then whenever that compiles and runs you'll have a better time finding people who can help

The reason why the branch idea doesn’t work is that without anyone using it nobody will report any bugs and it’s not human feasible to test everything that breaks, therefore the impasse

There’s also the issue that something that would last for several months will inevitably continue to time and time again get more and more conflicts with the work being done on the main branch
