No one is going to work on something that someone else wants, unless they want that same thing, so I wouldn't expect someone else to pick up that work just because

So if you want it, I'd say make a fork and work on it there, then pr to a separate branch whenever it's functional

well there is also not much to be taken up on even original branch was deleted there is only revert in AC main
