after jumping through some hoops, im almost running on mariadb. auth boots and ran updates no problem. world started up and ran a bunch of updates but hangs at this one Applying update

I remember one file being reported to take literally forever under Maria db. I think that's the one.

ahh.. well ill never know. i deleted it and it finished the updates and started up
