Sure, that works with proper networking. A cheap VPS will do for a friends and family server. Or your sidemachine at home as well, assuming it's faster than a potato

I have quite a decent PC, + I'm not planning to get more than like 3 people in the server

<@251956113153589248> that is how I have it setup, just make sure you have your external IP set in the "address" field in acore_auth database, realmlist table. Then forward the ports 3724 and 8085 to your server in your router and you should be set
