Hi guys! fng here. I just got my server up and going! I was looking through the modules and I see several different player bot modules. i would like to be able to play the bots as alts, i saw a youtube video where someone said that was possible, but im not sure if i understood them correctly. anyone have a suggestion on which one to use?

There are currently two bot implementations. NPCBots creates bots considered creatures by the game, and is currently generally more stable and usable. Playerbots uses actual player data, so it is able to log in with actual characters - that is probably the one you saw in the video. Playerbots currently is not stable or ready for general use, but you're welcome to try it out. Please note that both of these implementations currently require using custom forks of AzerothCore and can't be installed as modules alone.

AzerothCore supports only WotLK, with no official support for transferring from other cores. If you'd like to play a personal "progression through expansions," I recommend considering the Individual Progression module - it's designed to give just that experience.

If you're hoping for post-WotLK content, there are no public cores that are stable enough for reasonable use.
