I feel that way too. I dropped MariaDB for AzerothCore and have a separate server with MySQL just for AzerothCore but keeping MariaDB for everything else. However my reasoning for that one is that the nested queries used in AzerothCore just overloads MariaDB and it can't even start on my end. I could spend time figuring out if that can be solved or I can just go the quicker route and keep a separate server for it.
