As I know, mysql_secure_installation is a sql-server config, so it could impact on the password rules, because acore user "lives" inside the database, so is you set a high level of password you´ll need to set a high password to acore user. IDK if I explained properly

I have it enabled, because I´,m compiling AC on a Virtual Machine, I´ll made the search too. Thanks

I'm still pretty new to this but looking at the database setup instructions for acore would I be correct in assuming the line 'CREATE USER 'acore'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'acore' WITH MAX_QUERIES_PER_HOUR 0 MAX_CONNECTIONS_PER_HOUR 0 MAX_UPDATES_PER_HOUR 0;' means create user without a password?

Yeah thats it, the way to access db is -u acore -p acore

Becuse when u access db for the 1st time you need to access with root to set up the security

so even if I set up password validation, I can, as a root user, just add acore with password acore and sql will be fine with it?
