All it really does is intercept the data being sent to you and logs in. It doesn't, nor should it, do anything with it aside from that or you'd suffer the wrath of Blizzard.

Not the project themselves because it doesn't have anything that's Blizzards but sniffing is still unknown to me if you can get banned for it but hosting a server can get you in trouble. Blizzard has their own rules too.
