when you RUN (not install) it will say mysql 5.7 is deprecated and tell you to upgrade to 8.0

but if you want to use 8, you have to set in the compile options and clean and recompile your project

ofc you have to recompile as it gives the version with cmake to the project. so depending on what version u built your project with its runing on
