It's handled in the core and also keep in mind that (afaik) the pet grows as it levels up - just in case you're not at max level.

That’s what I was thinking. Coming up with something that I can wrap into a pipeline, but I assume all of that already exists. I always have a terrible habit of reinventing the wheel

Hey, I've created several modules and scripts that basically do what other modules do but I wanted to learn how to and also change it to fit my needs. There's nothing wrong with that.
