On Windows the config files for modules are in configs/modules (where worldserver.exe is) and for Linux it's in /etc/modules (inside the source folder) and for Docker I have absolutely no idea.

I’ll try that when I get home, I think I did that originally but it didn’t work (because I hadn’t set the GUID and user ID for the bot user yet). After spending a while on SO, and scouring Google, I started poking around manually. I realize people ask stupid questions all the time, I get it, I appreciate your time in responding. The goal is to ramp up on this, so I can start testing and contributing.

Actually, Linux has it in /etc wherever you set when running the cmake command. Also, the questions you're asking are nowhere near stupid. Got to start somewhere, like we all did at some point in time.

Haven’t touched private wow servers in many years, so it’s kind of like relearning to ride a bike. Familiar but unpracticed. I’m doing all of this on Ubuntu 23, bare metal. I’m probably going to write some Ansible to set everything up. (Clone the projects, jinja template and modify-able variables, and then compile everything). Ideally will also write a terraform module, so that people can do it on miscellaneous cloud fabrics add to make use of VPCs, route 53, clustered databases, etc. My goal is to make the infrastructure as code to consume this project so that people can start hosting redundant scalable private servers with an easy button. High in the sky, probably going to get busy before I get a chance to complete it anyway but a goal none the less. Thanks for replying.
