yah I changed the xprate = to 1.0f .... but maybe there was more I needed to remove

Shouldn't be. It checks if you're in a group and if you are do some math on it, otherwise set it to 1.0 which you changed it to be regardless.

I don't know what to tell you, I have no issues with XP. I'm not keeping a good eye on group vs no group but I know it's still decent XP for kills. That is assuming everyone is roughly the same level and the mob is high enough level of course.
