If people are offended by you speaking the truth, assuming you're not intentionally being rude or offensive, that tells you they're not worth helping (honestly).

People tend to tell me the way I word things is "Passive aggressive" so I need to make sure I at least say I am not being rude

Misunderstandings are understandable and can be cleared up but in this case it's (imo) straight up honesty

Nobody likes being told they've been doing things wrong and that it's their fault. Sure, it could absolutely be seen as their fault, but there's nothing wrong with letting someone down gently about it

It was never said that they're doing things wrong or that it's their fault really. We can't give support for old code and if they wish to get our help they need to update the core first. That's merely a choice of *Do I want support or not?*.

I guess it's all up to interpretation but people are so damn easily offended these days. I like Kitzunus straight-up honesty.
