logically it would work but realistically i have no idea if it would be able to keep up with speed of events happening

Really sorry, totally new to the project/pvt server in general so I can just butt out (also maybe misunderstanding) - but would straight to a log file suffice? people can just ship/share them if they need help reading. Could have some basic config options for how long logs are kept/rotated, etc. Could maybe leverage some log manager to ingest them and present them in a more readable/searchable structure (and those configs could be shared). Writing to DB seems like some 'cleanup' procedure would (could? should) be implemented there anyway

Also cool with a 'too much context to type'

maybe it could be written directly into text file but then u got just raw stream of data without possibility to search through it and it would be that much more difficult to parse....while i agree DB is not best option neither is file currently im thinking about switching it to influx

and to rest of it that is up to user i dont plan to ever delete logs so if by some miracle my server will get popular and i will have 5TB of logs so be it

if u had server with large population and focus on content clearing (killing many mobs daily) then storage starts to be issue and u could consider either filtering it out or keeping only aggregated data but again that is up to user that would need module changes specific to those needs

yeah sounds like too much variability to make it worth trying to account for

but honestly even if u would have average log amount of 50k per second thats quite lot of people and even though its like 10-15TB per month storage is cheap
