now that i started keeping an eye out for it, i've started seeing it everywhere. there's a frequent case where a mob starts casting something but when you enter in melee with it, he interrupts it. presumably because the 'if target = melee, /attack him' takes precedence over the already casting spell

but they don't *always* do that, it's not super blatant, just from time to time, i haven't figured out exactly the required conditions to replicate reliably
