Is the phrasing correct? Technically all events are scheduled unless disabled.

What I mean is that does there exist an instance of an event of a particular subtype attached to a particular gameobject.

For example, an explosion may not always be scheduled to happen, while sometimes you might have several explosions scheduled. What I'd like to check is that if there is an explosion scheduled, no second explosion will ever be scheduled until the first has happened.
