ah-bot was said to take time to populate the AH. I haven't used it so i don't know how fast it really is.
For autobalance, try a dungeon? Does it scale?
Also to be extra save, delete the .dist files and the authserver and worldserver binaries you're starting. Build again. Do all 4 files appear in the expected location?
We had people moving their binaries before and they kept starting old versions after dozens of re-compiles.
