then you need to port forward traffic for auth and the realm server on your router. the auth server sees that the client IP isn't in the local network, and will tell it the realm is at `address` instead of `localAddress`.

I had it working two days ago, then I borked the SQL database and since then I just cant get it to work, even after wiping the VM and starting over

once you understand what the fields actually do its not too bad. i just use `whoami.akamai.net` for my `address`, that way its always my public ip address.
