it's relatively simple to update it to work with 2.x, they just changed how you insert data

currently they are synchronous iirc, and that's what can cause the massive diff spikes

how you render data from influxdb, be it with grafana or something else, is where you could go with personal preference

I stick with Grafana primarily because that's one of the tools I use professionally, so got a decent amount of experience with it
