Keep in mind that using influxdb with the stock metric gathering setup can lead to massive update diff spikes, I assume there's been no changes between the TC influx implementation and AC

Not like applying the patch and just compiling (without running clean) after you finishing compiling the current code is a lot of effort.

long time ago I used Grafana. But isn't it customizable what to register and output? Or does it output everything despite of what you show in graphs

it stores all the metrics that are implemented in the influx database, grafana just renders based on that data
