Yup just started that. Didn't seem like there was an option similar to the gitext about selecting the master branch, but just went with it and hopefully that will work. Thanks for the help!

okay now that it's cloned i see it does say the current branch is master so I should be all set I think!

Hmm I'm encountering this error "Git was NOT FOUND on your system". I did a fresh install and added it to the PATH, is this related to using the github desktop for the clone?
