Well, it went from 13 seconds (with a low performance server) to forever. I tried with 8 cores (not that it matters) with a higher frequency and a lot more RAM with the same result. I just don't have the time to mess around trying to install a different version of MariaDB right now so I'll have to make do with MySQL for AzerothCore. I'm sticking with MariaDB for everything else anyway.

I also figured out why it complained about the whole "server was compiled with a different version" issue and for me it was me trying to use mysql-client to connect to MariaDB and also the other way around.
