I'm not a docker person so i wouldn't know how. But I'd be surprised if they interfere with each other. Docker images are meant to be isolated from the rest of your system in the first place.

Got it. So you'd recommend going with the non-Docker install anyway? I ultimatey going to want to mess around with the DB and ensure I have some flexibility

You can mess with the db even in the pre-compiled docker version. You just can not add C++ code. Only eluna scripts in Lua and SQL changes.

But yeah, my recommendation would always be the classic install. Because all resident devs use it, be it on Linux or windows

Alright I'll probably just go that route tomorrow. Thanks! One last question I guess...what's the latest expansion that is typically stable enough for solo play at this point? I've seen there have been some solo stuff up through Legion but then have also heard some of the later expansions are more buggy...I don't want too much of a headache but of course want to enable as much content as I can

I'm not aware of an open source core for anything later than 3.3.5 with nearly complete and somewhat stable content.
