You don't have to change the authserver port. I just change worldserver port to avoid it being scanned.

The malformed packets are irrelevant, and you'll get the messages regardless

I haven't had a single malformed packet message since I changed it to 4 or 5 random digits that wouldn't get scanned.

Really depends on the scaners tbh, I get hits on different random ports every now and then, but it's not like it has any impact on anything so eh

Argex Irongut <Veteran Arena Vendor> this should be free stuff I've found the stuff we talked about pretty much but I don't know the first step what to look for and what to disguise then and where to find it

You could whitelist IP ranges, but honestly, as long as the only thing you have exposed is the game ports then the whitelist is pointless

On any number of ports I get scanned constantly but a seriously random (faceplant your numpad to generate 5 digits) typically isn't included in the "normal" ports to scan for which is why I have never, never, been hit by a scan using that port again.
