i found the linux install to be mostly straightforward on a vm

the only weird thing i have is more with my vm itself, when i suspend/pause it it breaks the nic

That's probably has to do with the OS and now the nic is set up

probably, its not a huge hastle i can just shutdown/power o nthe vm as needed
