I am not sure, i had a comment on my pull request for fixing the data path for the default install saying "everything that is required for production should go in build", which implies to me it isn't heavily discouraged at least?

Which sounded not bananas, maybe you are definitely suppose to relocate it from build/ but that wasn't clear to me

I completely disagree that the server should be ran out of build, exactly because you'll end up screwing yourself over one way or another. Build folders can get corrupted, so making it a norm for everything to stay in build is just bad

I absolutely agree, and that's why I was trying to move the data folder out of there since it means nuking your data if your build folder needs nuking which seems odd

Build is just a staging ground for the install step imo, but I don't know if AC has a proper install step
