NPCBots requires changes to the core in addition to the module, so you will need to use the .patch file in addition to the module folder and SQL files. What trouble are you having with applying the patch?

Are you sure you are using the correct method of applying the patch? I usually apply git patch files with the `git apply ./patch-file.patch` command. Is your `patch` command an alias for this?
