In my mind a large part of the lack of cores for the later expansions is that 3.3.5 has been around so many years and it's what people choose to stay with (even if only a smaller percentage would be interested in moving beyond 3.3.5). There's just so much changed in Cataclysm and beyond that most don't find the change enjoyable. I'm thinking about the people who develop just to develop and don't even play the game, those people could just as well move over to Cataclysm - not that I'd encourage leaving AzerothCore behind.

well when u think about it wow was never rly that good game from technical point....sure for time being classic was quite good but later not much....many ppl including me say that last few expansions are very bad due to stupid systems created by blizz but in reality if we throw nostalgia out of window it was always present each version had it completely stupid decisions....more and more im seeing that wow was more phenomenon than anything

I feel the need to point out that it's relative. Some people demand the best and some don't which leads to those who don't enjoying something more than the others even if it was technically flawed.
