I just checked it doesn't crash server or client, just complains that creature has no model defined and doesn't load it.

I solved this problem by editing the database and emptying "character_entry_point" table for that character. Emptying "character_instance" might have been necessary as well but emptying it changed nothing. Thank you Bkfinest for help, you saved me!
