You have to know *what* the issue *is* before you can fix it. If you know exactly that something is going to be an issue, i.e your code, then you can fix it but if you don't know.. how are you going to fix it?

for example i want to store logs for players (same principle as warcraftlogs) but if some1 with better experience can say that doing that is too costly i can rethink it etc

The best you can get as far as premature optimization goes, is having experience that something you're about to do is going to be expensive. Beyond that it's Halting Problem levels of useless to speculate.
