hi all, I'm currently modding my own AC server and editing dbcs. my dbc edits for new classes arent working or doing strange things. there appears to be a weird interaction between the dbc files and the playercreateinfo tables.
For example, the ``gtoctregenhp_dbc`` doesn't populate the sql with my gtoctregenhp.dbc's data. This is true for a lot of the .dbc files that have to be edited to make new classes. Is there a way to not use the mysql data and only use the data from .dbc files?

The only time it'll use the SQL data over the DBC data is if the entry is the same. So for example, in ChrClasses, if your name for class ID 12 is battlemage in the DB but warlord in the DBC, it'll use the name battlemage, but if that entry doesn't exist in the DB, it'll use warlord

As Titi told you, those *_dbc tables are only used as overrides of the DBC data

so it correct that if I empty the table there will be no overrides and I can just use dbcs to continue my work?

Some tables have contents already (spell_dbc in particular, for server-side spells), those you don't want to empty, but otherwise yea you can empty em out and just use DBCs
