if that's all you're doing and you never send any other custom payload (like when you're ingame in the world) then you can ignore all that

I guess if I do decide to add the cvar update on login, it would be an idea to clear it on logout. It would only happen on login though but every login.

yeah if the payload for setting the cvar is still in the queue when the player is logging out it would be a good idea to clear the queue
