Kind of like when I created a simple module to scale raids down a little and I made a simple mistake and it scaled all zones so I was confused when I wasn't taking damage while questing and then suddenly boom I got hit for 132,321,351 damage and well.. died.

You learn from your mistakes, that's the deal. People who refuse to learn shouldn't make mistakes.

Own your mistakes, I guess you could also say.

But never admit publicly that you make mistakes

It depends on who you are. If *you* were to admit mistakes I'd admire you for it but the average joe who comes in here I'd just laugh at.

The double standard is real.

It's not a double standard. I know bench can deal with his own mistakes and improve himself, the 'average joe' has no desire to improve themselves.

It was a bit of a joke. However there are a lot of people who want to improve themselves but have a hard time understanding or knowing the right path to growth not to discount the fact that there are those who have no interest in improving themselves and ultimately just suck blood to live. No offense intended.

It's fairly easy to see who is actually interesting in understanding the problem or help solve it. I don't count those kinds of people into the 'average joe'. The typical person I would count towards that is those that come in here and complain about a problem that they could find using Google in less than a few seconds because they don't want to do anything themselves.
