Creatures that don't require advanced features, like most regular creatures out in the world, use SmartAI so it's ideal if you don't need what can only be achieved by use of C++ (or Lua, I guess)

I just have no opinion on Lua when it comes to scripting creatures like this because I've never done it so I have no idea how evolved it is.
