If you're following the guide on the azerothcore wiki, you just replace the URL there with the other one.

I would however recommend that you take a backup of the auth and characters databases, just to be safe so you don't lose anything **if** something goes wrong.

You can just export those databases with whatever software you choose to use.

I just Copy pasted the databases in a seperate location just to be safe

I use the export feature of HeidiSQL. I don't know what would even happen if you copy-paste the folders themselves - I'm doubtful it would work.
