If you want bots to play with, and not only to populate the world, https://github.com/trickerer/Trinity-Bots works for that. Of course, you can't use them as enemies in battlegrounds afaik.

The name of the repository is a little misleading but they are in fact both for TrinityCore and AzerothCore.

You'd have to either apply the patch manually or if you don't know how to, you can grab the source at https://github.com/trickerer/AzerothCore...th-NPCBots (make sure it's the npcbots_3.3.5 branch). It's AC but with bots added and you can add modules etc to it.
