The problem most likely happened, when I've tried entering Onyxia's lair but I forgot that I wasn't in a raid group, just alone. I think that might've messed things up a bit, but I'm not sure, just speculating

Maybe at that moment the game couldn't figure out what to do, cause Ony in phase 1 is a 40 man raid but in wotlk it's 10/25. If that's the case then Naxx 40 should be a problem too if entered with a solo character without a raid group. Then again, I'm just speculating here.

Never mind. I've updated the progression state of both the "problem character" and the GM toon with gm mode turned off and it seemed to have solved the issue.

First I could group up but when entered onyxia's lair it was the lvl 80 version. Then I updated it for both and it was 40 man ony
