I used a PI to replace the electronic controller on my hot water heater when the controller went bad, $200 and a few hours of probing with a meter was better than $1500. Quite useful devices really

I'm just saying I personally wouldn't use it to replace a normal system for servers.

A friend has a Pi 3, he tried to run MariaDB on it and I said no because it took ages to do anything on it. I haven't tried 4.
