That way it'll restart the service on boot, logs will go to syslog, etc.

That doesn't really change anything. All `screen` does is spawn the AC process for you, allowing you to "detach" from it. If the system reboots (power, updates, etc.) then you have to manually fire the `screen` session back up. `tmux` might even be better.
