giving classes different talent trees is a bit annoying and requires client patching afaik but it's not terribly hard

Aye. I still think the right way to go is giving players class-agnostic skills they can use to self-heal, self-buff with +dmg modifiers, etc.

Yep! So giving them to players up front, with cooldowns balanced, etc., possibly makes solo-ing a more enjoyable experience. It's all about balance and testing.

just add the items to starting inventories if you want, but you don't really need them for soloing with autobalance
