um, i have a question, do the config files need to be in the same folder as the .exe of azerothcore? or can the config files be in the "configs" folder that gets generated by visual studio?
also, inside the "configs" folder is a "modules" folder, does the same logic apply to it?

The config `.dist` files should be copied and have that `.dist` extension removed leaving only `[confname].conf` in the same directory as the `.dist` file. If you don't make any changes to your config, then you're fine to just have the `.dist` file, but you have to have it and any changes you make should be done on the `.conf` file
