From the other issue (from the TrinityCore) you've posted, I've noticed that pets (warlock at least) should have full HP (not sure about mana) after mount/dismount, but haven't tested it yet

yeah but the pet doesn't regain mana after respawn, not the player

You should see if dying outside a battleground with the warlocks pet out and either using the spirit healer or running to your corpse will do the same thing. If it does, you know it's not specifically BGs.

Of course, the pet has to have low health - duh. I'm also assuming you haven't tried it, which is stupid.
